For all the stay at home moms, yes I'm one of them. I have one question, do you plan on going back to work once all of your children are in Elementary school? Or do you like staying at home and have decided to never work again? I am just curious, my husband and I have talked about it. I am mainly home just for my kids, to be here when they come home from school is nice, but, I tend to get bored easly, so I have decided once my 3 year old enters into Elementary school, I will be going back to work. I have thought and thought about this, my husband is fine if I decide not to work or if I decide to go back and work. We are financially stable so I can choose to stay home if I want. I would be working so i won't be bored, while the kids are at school all day long. I do plan on working part time, so i can be home when they get home from school. I'm not the type to sit around and do nothing all day, right now my kids are home half the day at least my 5 year old is, so I have her, and my youngest to be home for. I just can't envision myself sitting here all day long with no children around, going gee what do i do now, ain't gonna happen.

I'm done rambling, waiting for replies!!!!

What limitations? You are the one that think men have limitations WRT dealing with small children. Doesn't mean that men agree - my DH's experience with our 3 would directly contradict your innate limitation argument.

Not to mention that the traditionally "female" method of dealing with younger kids tantrums/accidents/ etc may not be the only effective way. Men might deal with those aspects of teaching young children different than women, maybe their way would be equally effective and, since at least 1/2 of their pupils would also be MALE, maybe moreso for some kids.

>>I think a teacher is a very high career goal <<
ita....and to even take it a step farther,i think being a teacher can be a remarkable accomplishment too, especially if she/he comes from a family of no college graduates.

dh is the only college graduate in his family.......i am very proud of him not so much for what helped earn him a vp rank but because of accomplishments (like school) when odds were against him.

Around here, lawyers are as common as rocks, so being one doesn't impress anybody.

You forgot to add your dated disclaimer that they must be a female for elementary school education.

I loved it!!! I wanted to hate it b/c of the nostalgia w/the old Busch, but it's too awesome to hate. Well, the $9 beers are a bit much...but the stadium is utterly amazing.

That is complete BS. Some of the best teachers I've ever known at the elementary level were men.

Men can nuture too, you know.
