SAHM's and Money

I am a WOHM but have always felt like this, even as a kid. I know it is probably wrong, but it is a strong feeling I have had.
When SAHM's say "I bought this or "I saved MY money for this", I always want to say "YOUR" money? Now, don't get me wrong, my mom was a SAHM and a great one at that but she would get spending money every week, just like I do, while working, but I can't feel technically that it was "HER" money.
Staying home is a hard job, being home today I can say that it is much harder to have a stressful out of the house job AND have kids but it is more physically demanding then my job.
I just feel that any money in the household has been made by the dh and is really "HIS" all the time. He just gives it to his wife to spend. I know this is horrible but I was wondering if anyone else felt this way?

What would you consider downtime at work? Going to the bathroom? Because that is basically our downtime. We work our butts off at work and don't get compensated enough for it, but that's another story-lol!!

?????????????? I have off this week because my dd is off. I think I am allowed some vacation time. I normally work 9-5 every week. I take days here and there and go months without a day off. I have accumlated all my time to take when my kids are sick or there is no school.

I guess if you want to call that downtime, yes I have lunch. A big one hour in the day. There are days though that I will work through lunch if I have a big project or need to leave early from work.

Well there you go. One hour of downtime. Why is it so hard to admit that you have downtime during the day. It isn't a bad thing.

I don't buy it since he doesn't share equally in the chores now. You also said he is a slob and doesn't see it. What makes you think sah would make him automatically see what should be done and get it done the right way?
