SAHM's and Money

I am a WOHM but have always felt like this, even as a kid. I know it is probably wrong, but it is a strong feeling I have had.
When SAHM's say "I bought this or "I saved MY money for this", I always want to say "YOUR" money? Now, don't get me wrong, my mom was a SAHM and a great one at that but she would get spending money every week, just like I do, while working, but I can't feel technically that it was "HER" money.
Staying home is a hard job, being home today I can say that it is much harder to have a stressful out of the house job AND have kids but it is more physically demanding then my job.
I just feel that any money in the household has been made by the dh and is really "HIS" all the time. He just gives it to his wife to spend. I know this is horrible but I was wondering if anyone else felt this way?

No, there are working moms with me but in my immediate dept there are few. Most of my close friends are working moms too though so I know what goes on in their homes too.

Yes, when my dd was young, probably up to age 1, she slept 6 hours a day. My ds now, at almost 3, sleeps 2 hours when he takes a nap.

Absolutely not. Usually someone with triplets does have help from family or friends though.

They usually have help? How would you know this?

Because most people I know, with just 1, have had help from their mothers or mil's. I had NO help. Both live out of town and it was just my dh and I doing everything. We had NO clue with the 1st but we did our best. It amazes me when the women freaks out because their mil, mother or dh have to go back home or work after 2 weeks. I started from the 1st day alone as my dh went back to work almost immediately. I had no problem.

The world is way bigger and diverse than your own experiences. Maybe you don't see this and that is why you are having trouble seeing things from the perspectives of others? Many women do it on their own, you aren't the only one.

SAHMs have a lot more disposal time than WOHMs, for the most part.

"I know what goes on in their homes too."

Actually, no you don't. Unless you LIVE in those homes, you can never REALLY know what's going on, you only know what you are told. And that information may be exaggerated or downplayed, as it suits the person who is telling you.
