SAH/WOH--extramarital affairs

I was just at the gym this morning and overheard a conversation between two women on treadmills who were discussing/debating as to whether married sahms were any more or less likely to have affairs than married wohms.

I thought it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on this.

He can write "for deposit only" and the account number and deposit the check. No signature needed from you.

The difference is that I don't see earning income as an achievement at all.

Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color.  Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable.

You forgot that he timed all the contractions, up until about 7 cm dilated, even though there was a machine monitoring those contractions and that nurse told him it wasn't needed. You forgot that he wiped your brow when you were sweating through the pain. You forgot that he told you jokes in the delivery room to get your mind off the baby's decelerating heartbeat. You forgot that he held your hand as the anesthesiologist jabbed a 6 inch long needle into your spine. You forgot that he clamped and cut the umbilical cord.

Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color.  Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable.

So your post proves your DH is sensitive to you and DS -- overall a wonderful husband and father.

Mine wasn't at the birth. He was with his father, who was dying. But he was on the phone with me, my best friend (who was with me), and the doctor all day. And he is the one who made the decision, with the doctor, about using the epidural and then finally the c-section.

That is where you and I disagree. WE had a baby, together.

But that's not the point. The point is that you will often hear men say "We just had a baby" and it's totally normal. Just like saying "We get paid on the 15th" is normal. I doubt that you go up to a guy who says "we just had a baby" and say... "Well, your wife did! You sure as heck didn't" You would probably say "congratulations"

Biologically, your DH did not give birth or "have" a baby.

It is much more common to hear "We just had a baby" than "We get paid on the 15th and last days of the month."

Does she really think that? Must be schizo or something. Personally, I say "We get paid" or "My husband gets paid" interchangably, and never really thought about it either way until I read this thread. Although, I do get up at 5am hell or high water because I have 2 small children to take care of. Unfortunately, I don't get sick days :(

Edited because it is apparently typo day for me.
