I find it supremely ironic that the comment about SAH came from a female co-worker.

I've heard that type of comment from a fair number of female teachers, most of whom quit work when their kids were born and didn't go back until after they were all in school.

Okay .. is the economy there getting better? Because if it's getting worse, wouldn't that mean more moms would be working because the income is needed more?

I think she was thinking that moms wouldn't be able to find work so they'd have to SAH.

I simply said that moms working status doesn't really matter and she said that in her experience it does.
