I can really admire you for what you went through, how you came to the realization that you had a choice, and for making the choice that you felt was best for you and your family.

I think that the people who say they don't have a choice to WOH are being honest-they don't have a choice because the alternative is really, really bad.

Exactly right. And I completely understand that for a lot of people, all of the alternatives may suck. In general, someone needs to be bringing in a paycheck and if you are a single mom, or your SO/DH is laid off or disabled, it's probably you. Also, while it's always an option to

You know, I have had mommy guilt over the years and I'm sure that I will in the future...but it's not related to working, why would it be? Have you ever thought that a woman with children works....because they want to work?

Yes, there is that too. I have felt guilt most surely. It has not been related to leaving dd to be cared for by others, whether so I could work or for other reasons.
