Hi All,
I'm new to this board and totally fascinated by the WOH/SAH debate.
Oh, I agree - those are not the same.
Hmmm...I have a feeling I must have not expressed what I meant very well and that is why your response has me confused!
"And the feminist in me wants to be insulted that no man feels the need to add this qualification (perhaps that is silly though)."
IME, SAHDs and feminist SAHMs frequently feel they have to add that qualification to why they sah.
There are probably sahms who don't want to sah!
<<Best for your family or best for you?>>
I've never "seen" anyone on this board convincingly establish she WOH because it's best for herself, she needs to work to sate her intellect.

There's no problem with society.
but what about the family where they don't "need" the second income (as in -- REALLY don't need it), BUT the 2nd parent
<needs to work to sate her intellect.
It's your position that it's "best" for women to SAH?
