SAH/WOH - Why?
| Mon, 02-20-2006 - 7:41am |
I am sure this has been done before but I was wondering this in light of recent posts lately.
Why did you decide to sah/woh?
Was it a choice or something expected of you?
Was your plan to sah/woh though out or impulsive? Long-term or short-term?

I think Snoopy misinterpreted to be honest with you. IMO, Sabina was talking figuratively. I don't think she meant anything more than one parent asking the other if they were going to buy a child a car. Innocent question, really. I don't think it was a situation of 'let's decide whether kids get a car or not'.
I don't know what town she is in but she is in MA like me. The way she describes her town sounds a lot like mine. I live in a community where people know each other very well. There's one church in town; one high school. IOW people tend to travel in the same circles. They talk.
Regarding my prom example: another of the same. I remember this clearly because it was my nephew. MY SIL said no to the sleepaway. Her son said 'everyone is doing it' and I'm the only one that isnt'. SIL still said No; and in subsequent conversations found out that not only was her son the only one NOT doing it, she found out that several parents were on the same page as she was. That's all.

"Veronica: "I hate fake deer too. Every time I see their stupid fake-deer faces I want to grab a shotgun and go all Cheney on 'em." Sure, but since fake deer don't talk, they won't
"Teens are sneaky boogers." i disagree, you may have some teens who are but teens as a whole are not. i guess if i had a teen who was a sneaky booger i would reevaluate my relationship with her - thank goodness i dont.
