SAH/WOH - Why?

I am sure this has been done before but I was wondering this in light of recent posts lately.

Why did you decide to sah/woh?

Was it a choice or something expected of you?

Was your plan to sah/woh though out or impulsive? Long-term or short-term?

How much does it cost you to fill your tank?

SUV sales have dropped considerably in the past year.

I was reiterating because although you didn't argue, you didn't grasp the full meaning of what I was saying. Or if you did, you didn't communicate it.

You might be right about the Pilot/2003. I bought my 2002 Labor Day Weekend that year, so it is quite likely the Pilot was a 2003. I just don't remember.

Well, I meant 6-cylinder to 6-cylinder. I didn't say it but that is what I meant. There IS not much difference there.

And I do think there is a big difference in mileage between the Sequoia and the Odyssey. 18 and 25 IS a good-sized difference.

Although you weren't complaining about people driving large vehicles, you were chastising PKA (I think) about driving a large-sized car you thought she didn't need. My point was that the a van is not much different than a 6-cylinder.

I will wait for you to show me where I said being a homebuilder is a big boost to the environment.

There is just as much difference between the Odyessey and the Accord as there is between the Odyessey and the Sequoia.

No I wasn't at all. I told PKA I didn't blame her one bit. If you scroll through this thread I said I didn't blame her a bit. I think her buying a van was a great idea. I enjoy the extra room. However for mom to scrutinize ME for driving an SUV and not scruntinize PKA for driving a minivan when she isn't carpooling and only has 1 child is bit hypocritical.

So? I was comparing mini-vans to 6-cyl. cars in the case of PKA that's it saying that she had actually gotten more for her money by buying a van instead of a 6-cyl sedan.

You are right, though, the Odyssey is a different animal than the Sequoia. The Sequoia is very nice but it is a gas guzzler and doesn't have any more room than an Odyssey. I think, except for the towing issues, the Odyssey is a much more practical choice.
