SAH/WOH - Why?

I am sure this has been done before but I was wondering this in light of recent posts lately.

Why did you decide to sah/woh?

Was it a choice or something expected of you?

Was your plan to sah/woh though out or impulsive? Long-term or short-term?

Again you are clueless to the condition a vehicle is in when it is used the way I have to use them. Ask your friend the builder. Unless he contracts out every single thing he does he will know exactly what I am talking about.

I don't care if you don't take advice from me. But if you think you are going to buy a Pop up and tow it with the minivan....go right ahead. Transmissions run about $2K.

With a sedan? Ok I am sorry but I just don't believe you.

Editted to add...Maybe a table or a bed. Several pieces of furniture I just don't believe it.

I think she means a tent trailer, or similar, and she should be fine with that.

More often than I care to count. The trailer is attached to my SUV more than once a week. In the Summer every other weekend the boat is attached.

***Not with the other reasons as I described early in the thread, as I have stated, we outgrew our sedan.***

Really? I wasn't aware that babies had bookbags, and sportsbags, and that you carpooled other kids then.

***So, what you meant was your future profession needed an suv, not your current profession.***

Being a SAHM isn't a profession. I am still a homebuilder.

***Actually it's 7 years which is about 14,300 miles a year over 7 year average. Try doing a seven year average instead of just a 3 for apples to apples comparison. You just traded a 6 year old car in for too many miles on the car....***

Then it still isn't a NO as you posted. I still drive less than you do. We are comparing my Sequoia to your minivan right? Or are we now comparing what I used to drive and what I drive now? I really need to get you to stay on the same page.

NO she doesn't. Mom keeps thinking that she can lug around things and that everyone can do what she does. Charlesmama pointed out that isn't the case.
