SAH/WOH - Why?

I am sure this has been done before but I was wondering this in light of recent posts lately.

Why did you decide to sah/woh?

Was it a choice or something expected of you?

Was your plan to sah/woh though out or impulsive? Long-term or short-term?

My kids do not need layers every day, only those days that will or might present extreme temperature changes.

Sweden sounds like a kinder, gentler place than the U.S. It must have a low crime rate, too.

By physical force, I am guessing?

So, spanking is good for your kids. Why not for a kid who isn't yours but whom you're taking care of? If parents approve, then why not spank?

I have 2 boys too, and one was a break-away kid. My solution to what you describe? Park the car near the carriage point. Leave the kids in car while you get a carriage. Put the kid in the carriage and then reverse it. Method never failed.

Probably dumb questions, but...just how frequent our carjackings with children inside the car from parking lots in the better parts of the DC metro area?

And if you did, you'd be sure to piss off the other shoppers by taking up the whole aisle and getting in the way ...

Wouldn't work for Cal. He will argue, adamantly, that it's warmer out on a 30degree-snow-filled day than on a sunny 65 degree day. Even if he's standing outside at the time.

It's a personality thing, not a "smarts" thing.
