Your post is totally coming out of left field. Nothing I wrote has anything to do with your post. But it sounds interesting.

That would be an example of a child whining that is not in reaction to something the adult in charge has or has not done to provoke or encourage such behaviour. I'll try to be clearer.

Bothers her on a moral level?

No, first she started out claiming that she doesn't like strangers in her home going through her personal stuff. Then it mushroomed into having a problem letting a neighborhood kid rake the leaves while we sit inside afraid to get our nails broken.

She obviously thinks that those who hire cleaning ladies are spoiled snobs. Yet here she is making assumptions that all hired help are illegals who don't own anything valuable and live in houses that aren't nice and don't have valuables.

Sure they can. And one to do that is to encourage him to do odd jobs for the neighbors. That is what my own parents did. When I was a teen myself I did leaf raking/snow shoveling for neighbors. My parents- who believed this would instill a good work ethic in me- encouraged this. They were right.

define 'cook" -- I don't eat out all the time, hardly at all -- but I don't cook like most people think of cooking -- I trhwo some pasta together, some shake and bake, maybe a salad or two -- but I'm not someone who can plan a whole meal and have it all turn out at th esame time -- but the advantage of being a single mom with one kid is taht we sit down to family meals together and have a nice dinner we just often have different things -- a salad for me and soup for her or something like that... I just really really really have never liked cooking it completely stresses me out LOL

Yes. We. Did.
