Another poster mentioned that a nanny or housecleaner's mind is blank while they are performing these mundane tasks. it doesn't take a genius to accomplish them, so to speak.
It would take the same amount of time as the housecleaner (or slightly longer) divided by however many people there are in the house. The point is, just because something is possible doesn't make it mandatory. If people can afford to pay somebody else to do certain things that they could do themselves, why is that a problem? It seems to bother you on a moral level that some people are outsourcing work you think they "ought" to do themselves simply because they can. You COULD learn how to change oil...and yet.
I agree. You just don't know what goes on when you're not around. The hope is that these things are pretty rare. But, ask anyone *who actually has expensive things* if they lock them up before the cleaning service comes, and they'll tell you they do.
If I had nothing of any value, sure I'd let anyone come in alone and clean my home at anytime!
So you know these women better than I do and have spent more time on this board. Therefore, you know facts that I would never know. Do you know for sure the circumstances of how each employer met their nanny or housekeeper?

So, how can you say that you don't have issues trusting someone alone in your home??
