Well, I will cheerfully take the moral low road and say I pay people to do certain things because I like not having to do it myself.

It is not slavery - the people doing things for me have every right to *not* do them. They are paid a fair wage for their duties. It is contributing to the economy. I consider it a win-win situation!

I agree. I have learned the hard way that what worked for #1 doesn't work for #2. It's like learning all over again.

Everyone is different, therefore different solutions work. Sort of like sah/woh.

I would be happy to as soon as you provide me one of the states or districts in which it is a common occurrence as you claim.

What I want to know is how can 3 kids be opposites? And Dylan is a congomeration of all 3 of his sisters. Go figure.

no. homework isn't the *begining* of anything. it's a *part* of how my child is doing in school. i'm a parent who choses to be very invlolved in my child's school and homework isn't measured any less than anything else. i suppose i could just rely on tests (no,not only standard testing) to see how my child's doing. sigh......we have a beautiful routine that works for us. one of which includes sitting down and going over homework together.

thanks for sharing all you think homework means to you, though.

Thanks. I don't know why I was thinking Bethesda or something out that way.
