There are more tornados in OKC right now. It is hitting my great-grandmothers neighborhood right now...she lives in a retirement home. It is headed to my grandparents....I am scared sh*tless right now....someone please say a prayer for all these people...it doesn't sound very good at all. As soon as this is over, I am headed out there. Anyone left awake...just please say a prayer.

Oh dear God!!! What a couple of nights this has been! UGH!

Tornado went all the way across OKC tonight. Where my great grandma lives (say it is Elm Road and NW 1st), the tornado completely DESTROYED a church at Elm Road and NW 17th. Where my grandparents live (say Apple Lane and NW 5th) the tornado destroyed buildings at Apple Lane & NW 19th). SOOOO close! But they are all fine, and no damage that we can tell in the dark.

Let me tell you, I will go through a tornado ANY day over WATCHING my loved ones go through one, and knowing there is NOTHING I can do. That is what happened during the 1999 tornado (the big one). DH had just had back surgery, but was home with our two (YOUNG) kids, and my grandparents taking care of them (DH was bed ridden). I had to watch it on TV, and FREAKED OUT! Same tonight (if you can't tell from my post). But last night, as WE were going through it....calm as a bird! What is WITH that?

As for OKC...looks like lots of damage. We have a small airport (for small private planes) in North OKC, and they say it destroyed 60-70 of the planes. The weird thing though? Looks like it mostly hit businesses. At least what they were able to show so far. I tell you what, ladies, I need a break from this. If another comes tomorrow (30% chance of bad storms again), I am moving in with Beth!!! (do you get tornados Beth? lol)

Well, I'm going to try to head off to bed now...if I can calm down....I'll catch up with you all tomorrow!

Ladies...I am just about in tears here...my poor poor city. Hit twice in two days by tornados. I am SHAKING at what could have happened to my loved ones. Going though it on thursday, I was as calm as could be, even when it went right past my house with all the winds, etc. But last night, watching it go through my families neighborhoods, I just started losing it!

I just read a story in the newspaper about the daycare at a church in Moore, Oklahoma. There were only 3 teachers still there, with 3 kids (was late in the day), but the roof was ripped off and thrown back on top of the bathroom they were in! They were trapped until someone came to rescue them...and no one was killed! The church is destroyed.

I saw a picture this morning of the church destroyed, not even 15 blocks from my great grandmas retirement home. You can see a picture of the church at http://www.shutterfly.com/osi.jsp?i=67b0de21b33e2166a4ab

Can you image what could have happened if it had done that to a retirment home? OMG...I don't even want to think about it, but I can't seem to keep FROM thinking about it.

Someone tell me this is normal! I have lived here my ENTIRE life, and NEVER been scared of these things. I mean, I respect the damage they can do, but SCARED? Never. Why can't I seem to stop shaking, and WHY is my husband sound asleep!?!?!?!?
