Ok, with all the wedding talk and what to give for gifts, I am NOW, after going to weddings for almost 20 years-lol! invited to an outdoor wedding in someone's home.
Here is the scenario:
Bride and Groom (she 22, he 36)
Living together for over 3 years
Groom-12 year old son
Bride and Groom-have a 3 year old and she is due with their 2nd in August
Wedding:
At her mother's house-catered food from restaurant

I know in other posts I said I would probably give the same as a sit down reception but we were orally invited to this wedding so I assume they are doing this just to get married before the 2nd child arrives. I have NO clue now what to do about a gift-lol!!

I'm not a naily person. Hell, I didn't have a manicure until I was almost 30. And didn't have a pedi until I was 34. I get pedis quite regularly now, but I RARELY get a manicure.

I just really didn't care about that crap. Still don't. It isn't important to me wrt weddings. The wedding is much more about the marriage for me than it is about the ceremoney and appearances at the ceremony.

Well, gee, that's the point I was making.

So funny! I had a "trial" with my hair and makeup. I got my french manicure and eyebrows waxed the day before and the makeup and hair the morning of my wedding.

That's the nice thing about the City. Lots of taxis. Was hers in the City too? Mind if I ask where? Have you ever been to Lucky Chengs? I haven't been back.

No, you were speaking of what *you* would have done, but that's just you and by no means universal.
