Ok, with all the wedding talk and what to give for gifts, I am NOW, after going to weddings for almost 20 years-lol! invited to an outdoor wedding in someone's home.
Here is the scenario:
Bride and Groom (she 22, he 36)
Living together for over 3 years
Groom-12 year old son
Bride and Groom-have a 3 year old and she is due with their 2nd in August
Wedding:
At her mother's house-catered food from restaurant

I know in other posts I said I would probably give the same as a sit down reception but we were orally invited to this wedding so I assume they are doing this just to get married before the 2nd child arrives. I have NO clue now what to do about a gift-lol!!

Could be. I tease him that he has a recessive gay gene; his father and sister were/are gay. I tell him I got the best of both worlds: a straight man that loves shopping and clothes and has the emotional depth of a woman. lol

Did she say that's why she didn't do those things?

WAYYY before I met dh, I always said I was missing the shopping gene, the shoe gene and the purse gene. I found my missing genes; dh had them! lol He's SUCH a bad influence on me; we'll go shopping for a specific item or two, and we'll walk out with many new items for me ... all at HIS insistence!

There is seriously nothing that bores me more than shoppiong for shoes and handbags. I'm ok with shopping for normal clothes and work clothes-- and I can spend DAYS in a bookstore -- but shoes? ugh....pocketbooks are even worse!

And I HATE looking at electronics or appliances -- Kelly can spend days in the appliance section of Sears and I just wnat to pull my eyelashes out I'm so bored LOL
