Ok, with all the wedding talk and what to give for gifts, I am NOW, after going to weddings for almost 20 years-lol! invited to an outdoor wedding in someone's home.
Here is the scenario:
Bride and Groom (she 22, he 36)
Living together for over 3 years
Groom-12 year old son
Bride and Groom-have a 3 year old and she is due with their 2nd in August
Wedding:
At her mother's house-catered food from restaurant
I know in other posts I said I would probably give the same as a sit down reception but we were orally invited to this wedding so I assume they are doing this just to get married before the 2nd child arrives. I have NO clue now what to do about a gift-lol!!

that's awesome! My friend(the aforementioned one who married her 2nd husband a few years ago in a suprise backyard wedding. 'suprise' b/c everyone thought theyw ere coming to her 30th birthday party adn then they got married in the middle of the party - fabulous)
ANYWYA her husband is like your dh -- I always say to him "are you sure you don't have an ovary or two?" LOL
Yes. We. Did.
Did she say that's why she didn't do those things?
There is seriously nothing that bores me more than shoppiong for shoes and handbags. I'm ok with shopping for normal clothes and work clothes-- and I can spend DAYS in a bookstore -- but shoes? ugh....pocketbooks are even worse!
And I HATE looking at electronics or appliances -- Kelly can spend days in the appliance section of Sears and I just wnat to pull my eyelashes out I'm so bored LOL
Yes. We. Did.
...who had probably seen her hands before, and was marrying her anyway. ;-)
