Ok, with all the wedding talk and what to give for gifts, I am NOW, after going to weddings for almost 20 years-lol! invited to an outdoor wedding in someone's home.
Here is the scenario:
Bride and Groom (she 22, he 36)
Living together for over 3 years
Groom-12 year old son
Bride and Groom-have a 3 year old and she is due with their 2nd in August
Wedding:
At her mother's house-catered food from restaurant

I know in other posts I said I would probably give the same as a sit down reception but we were orally invited to this wedding so I assume they are doing this just to get married before the 2nd child arrives. I have NO clue now what to do about a gift-lol!!

I have NO clue. I would never know at any shower who paid at all. Can't figure out how someone would know unless they were in the room where the person paid!!

a little soft music, some mimosas, everyone oohing and aahing over the irons and toasters, everyone gasping a little at the lingerie the bride gets, the bride turning all red as her mother stands right next to her, making one of those bow hats that the bride sits and wears with a silly smile on her face for the pictures that she will happily show SO and all the fun that he missed......

LOL, I didn't want to bring up those types of photos, as I can imagine the posts that follow this with comments about it, but that's what I was getting at.

Uh, no. Not because of my hands though. It is in the album, however. And it's quite the nice photo.

I just find manicures (whether it be at the salon or at home) to be right up there with brushing teeth and cleaning ears for me.
