O.k., the gay women Woohoo'ing made me feel compelled to share this story.

DH and I went to a very nice resort a few years back for a few days away from the kids. As we had a 4 year old and 18 month old at the time, and I was pregnant with number 3, I was dying for a chance to get a full night sleep. So at about 11:00 I am sound asleep, when from the hallway come shrieks and and laughing and running around. After about five minutes of this I look out the keyhole to see what is going on -- it was Ellen DeGeneres (who it turns out was in the room next to us), her girlfriend at the time, and a couple of other friends. Wild, crazy women, those 40-something lesbians!

Thanks. Glad I am not alone. I would be soooo embarassed if I ran out of anything. I would rather have tons of leftovers than someone going to get another drink or dessert and there was nothing left.

That is hilarious!!! I LOVE Ellen. I think she would be such a good person to hang out with. She seems like she has fun ALL the time.

She seemed very friendly. I never really spoke to her, but she smiled at everybody and was nice to anybody who wanted to talk. I did shower next to her in the spa the next day. So I've been naked with Ellen....

Yep, she is tacky as heck when she dresses like that. But the fact that I can't always check her before she leaves the house serves to illustrate that we ignore these conventions at our peril. If nobody calls her on it, that doesn't mean a thing.

So funny. My mom and I were just talking about fake flowers and how horrible they look planted in the ground like real ones!! I never saw anyone have fake flowers at their wedding. My flowers were soooo heavy. I had them dried and put in a huge frame. The woman charged me almost nothing and I will always have them.

Some people do get upset, though. I, for example, would be put out if I had to suddenly make room in my fridge, in my oven, on my stove, or on my buffet table, for something someone had brought. Sometimes an extra dish fits in just fine, but at other times it really doesn't.

I understand that point. That is why you give them a glad container on their way out with some leftovers-lol!!
