Staying at home a choice??

The author of this article thinks most mothers go to work because they want to, not because they have to.

"Most parents from two-parent families today do have a choice when it comes to parental care. They can try and talk themselves into believing they don't, but it really boils down to priorities."

Does anyone (other than her) really believe this? I don't know of anyone among my friends who works who wouldn't rather be staying at home with their children. But they don't have the choice!

Ah, my boys have been into Harry for quite awhile now, but it's not an easy read.

DH and I argued over the last one. We both read pretty quickly though. We take turns or read aloud to each other. Or try to both read the book at the same time. LOL. Patience isn't our strongest virtue.

Depends on where you live really I guess. See necessity has so many general meanings.

It would depend on your lifestyle. If you entertain a lot, have children, pets you would have to have your floors resurfaced more often than if you were single, didnt wear shoes in the house, and had no pets.

But it isn't. I didn't buy a new mattress until I got married. And this was after living on my own in rental properties for 10 years. A new mattress just isn't my hangup and I never caught anything from the countless used ones I slept on.
