Staying at home a choice??

The author of this article thinks most mothers go to work because they want to, not because they have to.
"Most parents from two-parent families today do have a choice when it comes to parental care. They can try and talk themselves into believing they don't, but it really boils down to priorities."

Does anyone (other than her) really believe this? I don't know of anyone among my friends who works who wouldn't rather be staying at home with their children. But they don't have the choice!

How anal is this? I actually make an effort to plan what we're wearing and using around what I plan to wash next. Tonight I'm doing whites, so we're both wearing white (mostly) and used white towels this morning. Tomorrow we'll be wearing dark colors.LOL
I do a load a day, for 2 people, but part of that is that I will not, under any circumstances, re-use a towel. It's used once and washed. They smell gross if you hang them back up wet and I can not STAND to see towels hanging all over the bathroom drying. My bathroom is not allowed to look "lived-in".LOL

Yes. We. Did.
Yes. We. Did.
To me it made sense if I needed one thing, just to get both as it would be worth the money. We will get good use out of the sofa bed.
My mom is the type though that would not complain sleeping on an air mattress and has done it when my sister did not have a bed in her spare room!
