Staying at home a choice??

The author of this article thinks most mothers go to work because they want to, not because they have to.
"Most parents from two-parent families today do have a choice when it comes to parental care. They can try and talk themselves into believing they don't, but it really boils down to priorities."

Does anyone (other than her) really believe this? I don't know of anyone among my friends who works who wouldn't rather be staying at home with their children. But they don't have the choice!

You are very close friends with all of your neighbors?

How do you know this?

I think in the scenario where one can't pay their bills, so they turn to credit cards to get them through and can't pay off those credit cards when they come due, but carry a monthly balance....one is indeed asking for help.

Because other people have tried and nothing comes out of it. I know welfare checks up on the recipients but wic just have to come in each month to have the kids get weighed, check ages, etc. They are not coming out to your home to see if you have someone living with you who is supporting you and able to pay the bills.
Which difference does it make which bill is put on the card?
That's not the way I read the posts.
