Staying at home a choice??

The author of this article thinks most mothers go to work because they want to, not because they have to.

"Most parents from two-parent families today do have a choice when it comes to parental care. They can try and talk themselves into believing they don't, but it really boils down to priorities."

Does anyone (other than her) really believe this? I don't know of anyone among my friends who works who wouldn't rather be staying at home with their children. But they don't have the choice!

Not really. Most of these things were done many, many years ago so there is nothing to report now.

Me too. I love the fact that when my kids go trick-or-treating, I don't have to worry who they are going to. I know alot of the people personally and the rest have been there so long that you know them from sight or other people are friends with them. I do not feel worried at all taking them around a large section on my neighborhood.

Okay, but since you haven't had problem coming out and letting the board know about all kinds of other people, I'm not sure why this case is different.

There is one sex offender. I don't know where the drugs came in. It is one house and it is the grandchild's husband who is the offender. My neighbor who was using the wic has moved.

I have no clue. I don't know the full details. I know what house it was and I know who the social worker is. I know the person in the house is still using wic so I don't think anything was done.

Don't get me wrong, many of the neighbors have lived in the area for years.

Not really. She lives in another state. I don't know there laws and what she does now. I don't bother with her much anymore. My dh stays in touch.

I don't know every aspect of their finances.
