Staying at home a choice??

The author of this article thinks most mothers go to work because they want to, not because they have to.

"Most parents from two-parent families today do have a choice when it comes to parental care. They can try and talk themselves into believing they don't, but it really boils down to priorities."

Does anyone (other than her) really believe this? I don't know of anyone among my friends who works who wouldn't rather be staying at home with their children. But they don't have the choice!

It wasn't clear to me about what you meant until listed examples in another post, such as their mortgage balance, how much they have in retirement savings, how much they paid for their homes.

A government employee is sharing private, personal information with you?

Interesting.

That can be a smart use use of credit, especially with the benefits of a good credit card and the perks that they give.

should probably take a closer look at how they are handling their finances. Or not-but dont complain about the reality of their choices. -- or not - but don't harp that Jane shouldn't use her CC for grocery bills and pay cash for her car repair.

And if s/he is giving you names of those who have been reported, then that person is in violation of confidentiality regulations.

These are kids (20 year olds). They don't care what they say. The person talking was not the social worker.

So you don't know the person who investigated this matter?
