Staying at home a choice??

The author of this article thinks most mothers go to work because they want to, not because they have to.

"Most parents from two-parent families today do have a choice when it comes to parental care. They can try and talk themselves into believing they don't, but it really boils down to priorities."

Does anyone (other than her) really believe this? I don't know of anyone among my friends who works who wouldn't rather be staying at home with their children. But they don't have the choice!

You don't KNOW it is true information. Unless you've seen the file.

No I do not know all the details that went on with the social worker. I know what the person who told me about her ex-friend said. We all know the situation in the neighborhood so it is really not a secret. We can figure out what went on without finding out the nitty gritty details.

You're forgetting people who are rolling over equity from their current house.

I honestly admit that I am not curious as to how much anyone else has saved for their children's college funds.

He does not bring the car to the dealer. We use a local mechanic that we have been using for many, many years.
Car rental insurance is for if you get into an accident. Not if you need it for car repairs. This is an exception because my dh travels too far to work for me to drop and pick him up.
