Staying at home a choice??

The author of this article thinks most mothers go to work because they want to, not because they have to.

"Most parents from two-parent families today do have a choice when it comes to parental care. They can try and talk themselves into believing they don't, but it really boils down to priorities."

Does anyone (other than her) really believe this? I don't know of anyone among my friends who works who wouldn't rather be staying at home with their children. But they don't have the choice!

that two years doesn't probably make a difference in how well you know your neighbors. But I've never said it did.

What it does is make a difference in the believability of your statements.

The requirements for severance in Germany and Sweden depend to a large extent on the type of contract one has. At my last job, the company was only required to give 1 months' notice to me. That period of time cuts both ways, actually. Dh and I would also have to give 3 months' notice before being able to take another job.

But I know the situation is different in the US with regard to severance as several family members have dealt with layoffs. I'm not at all sure how unemployment insurance works, though. From what sonofadam said, it sounds like it sucks :-(.

Sigh.

It was all in reference to someone having been reported for illegal/fraudulent activity and there having been no subsequent investigation, or no penalty in response to that investigation. Meghan's has nothing to do with investigations of fraud or other illegal activity.

This was my parents house so I am credible. Those 2 years were spent 1/2 mile away and about 3 miles away. I was still there all the time.
I think you are really reaching with this one.

What does that have to do with wic?

Again, provide the public information that you state exists for wic.

You are credible, even though you made false statements.

Okay. I'm the prettiest, skinniest, smartest girl in the world.

They started with the Meghan's Law and then the wic.
