If you work, do you find that summer's are the worst?

Yeah I dealt with some summer guilt. The first three years I worked I worked for the school system so had summers off. Then we moved and I changed jobs to one where I worked in the summer. My kids were old enough to stay at home by themselves. I felt guilty having them be stuck at home all day every day while I worked so I cut back my hours in the summer. I worked from about 8 until 12-2. So they had the afternoons to go and do things.

Or maybe double up another family's babysitter for part of the summer. I know some families who share a sitter in the summer. Maybe your son will find out that he's happier in camp--the grass is always greener!

Wow-6:30am :0

My camp starts at 8:15am. I will be dropping them off later than that though as I don't have to be at work until 9am and I work pretty close to the campsite.

I can see how you would be affected by that. We have older teenagers also but the "head" counselors are adults who run the rec centers and are always on hand so I am pretty comfortable with them. I also have known them for 6 years so that helps.

" sometimes wonder how thrilled kids are who have to be at summer camps as early as 6:30 in the morning."

Sigh. I've got a few years yet.

Ehh, 630 isn't that bad! I'm up at 520 every weekday!

No guilt here.

No guilt here. It is what it is. Before I went pt at the bridal shop, Dylan came to the shop with me in the morning. After lunch, I took him to the Boys and Girls Club. Then I picked him up after work. Last year he had the choice of Joy taking him to the B&G Club or staying home. If he went, I picked him up on my way home.
