OK, I just have to ask. When they have the eucharist at the mass, isn't it a bit awkward to tell the people who aren't part of the denomination that they are not welcome to participate?

I didn't really have a point, I had a question. And my question is, if they have a mass to celebrate the end of VBS, and there are people from other denominations or no denomination present, isn't it a little awkward when it comes time to serve the eucharist?

Well, since you are so good at google, try, "denied communion" and "Roman Catholic church" and you will find out that yes, some people are denied communion in the Catholic church.
So in the mass you went to after your kids' VBS experience, they just went ahead and had the eucharist without explaining it to anybody, and everybody who wanted to just went up to the altar?
So you think only catholics attend regular mass? My mom is not catholic and attended mass once a week when we were kids for years.
There are communions going on for 5 weeks at my church for 3 masses per weekend. I have been to 4 of them so far and not ONCE did the priest "announce" about having a "closed-table" for communion. Not everyone going to these communions are catholic and understand the RCC. Believe me, it is OBVIOUS-lol!!

She can't post a link to me because she is catholic and attends mass?

No where does this say at a regular mass that it is announced.
