If you work, do you find that summer's are the worst?

That doesn't explain why attending mass would render her unable to post a link to a post on this board.

And if they are the kind of VBS that has an altar call during the closing service, then they are absolutely encouraging the children to be part of the religious practice!

You and your big academic words.

Next you'll throw a little consubstantiation at us, I bet.

Even at "open" masses like communions where there are a variety of people going who might and might not be RC.

>> plenty of non catholics and/or catholics who feel not worthy at that time walk up for a blessing. <<

A blessing is not AT ALL the same thing as actually receiving the bread and cup.

I don't know any other RC that has claimed that no one will be denied communion in the Catholic church nor do I know anyone who would state that the RC has an open table for communion...that's why I'm asking you to support these claims and not some one else.

>> NO ONE will be denied and there are no questions asked <<

Bord posted an example of someone who was denied and of whom questions were asked.

Funny story: When DH and I got engaged, my mother wanted us to get married in the Catholic church. I tried to explain that that was all well and good, but that we wouldn't be allowed. She asked "Why not?" and I explained that it will probably become apparent in pre-Cana that DH is atheist and I'm LDS. Her response was "Well, can't you just fake it?"

Later, the same conversation came up again, but this time my dad was present. My mother asked me "Are you sure you won't get married in the Catholic church?", to which my dad piped up with "Wait, aren't there requirements for that - like being Catholic?"

I just about died laughing. I love my dad.
