Well don't you know that the RC's, whom have gone to mass, weddings, communions, etc. for their entire lives know less than the non-RC who went to a FEW weddings (if even that) and they were told they couldn't have the communion.
No one is denying your experience. If you went to ten thousand masses, and no one was ever denied the eucharist, and the priest has never explained the procedure, then that is your experience. Other people have had different experiences.
