Well, I am not sure that is the case as I have completely lost track of who said what in this thread, but it doesn't seem odd to me. It would be the non-Catholics in attendance who might need the explanation and might not know to read the missal.
The reason that other faiths don't participate in your communion is not that they do not agree. It's that your church prohibits them from doing so. Just as it prohibits those of no faith, or those Catholics who have committed a mortal sin and have not confessed, or those who have eaten within an hour of taking communion, or who don't believe in transubstantiation.
There are a lot of rules.

Why hide your light under a bushel of bears, I ask you?
Again, do you notice that the non-rc's only have witnessed this at weddings (the FEW or less they have attended RC mass weddings)? Sorry, but I take the regular church going RC's experience over someone who has been to a FEW or less weddings in their lifetime.
Yeah, actually I know a few faithful Catholics who do abide by the rules. One of them is a friend of mine who has six children and is now using artificial birth control and the priest told her to follow her own conscience and so she is, and is refraining from participating in the Catholic eucharist.

You can keep calling it an open table if you like, but I, for one, would love to see some evidence that that is actually true.
I don't believe you can produce it though.
