Misconceptions, untruths that they'd heard outside the actual church but somehow attributed to the church, or possibly even, in the case of the real bullies out there, things they made up to hurt people because hey, let's face it...they're bullies and bullies will do that.


The best example I can come up with right off the top of my head is actually not something that happened to another child, fortunately, but was said to me a few years ago and nipped in the bud before it made it back to the playground.

Why is your son having the kind of summer he enjoys more important (in general, not in your family) than a parent's need or desire to work? It works for you because you don't need or want to work, but that's far from universal to families.
