"Why would an atheist participate in one..well,why not?"

I already told you "why not." The "why not" would be that the parent does not care to have her child exposed to Bible Stories.

"Why does an atheist celebrate christmas? just to receive presents and celebrate the glorified, materialistic holiday it is not?"

There are many reasons that an atheist would celebrate a gift-giving holiday in mid-December. You have no right to tell anyone how to celebrate or not celebrate.

"Has it ever occurred to you that other denominations or less faithful have respect enough of others and other beliefs that they can still partake in something, celebrate something without feeling the same draw about it as you might feel about it?"

I have no clue in the world what that sentence is supposed to mean or what you are asking here.

Again, this was your original statement.

>> Of course llife is not free, however if you "INVEST " in ur family you can find many wonderful activities to keep yourself occupied. <<

Let me ask a different way.

Do you mean "invest" as in money? Time? Energy? Effort? Emotion?

And do you think that families universally have the capability to find "many wonderful activities" if they just invest enough of whatever you think they should invest?

Exactly!!
I am not living the summer I want to live either but I have to work and it's called life.
My kids don't always do the things THEY want to do because they have school and mom and dad have to work. It's life.
