The only reason that the VBS you went to can allow "ANY child who wants to participate" is because the enrollment is low. I am quite sure that your juridiction has rules about adult: children ratios and building occupancies, and if they had five hundred rather than fifty kids show up some time, they would have to turn children away.
I didn't really have a point, I had a question. And my question is, if they have a mass to celebrate the end of VBS, and there are people from other denominations or no denomination present, isn't it a little awkward when it comes time to serve the eucharist?
Oh Lois I'm so sorry you all have to put up with Phelps and his ilk -- they were here last December protesting a high school in my city with an openly gay principal.
