Why wouldn't they? The RCC (IME) does NOT exclude anyone (I think you are a little familiar with this too).

Priests do judge, quite often, and at the behest of the Vatican. The are encouraged refuse communion to pro-choice politicians.

Well, since you are so good at google, try, "denied communion" and "Roman Catholic church" and you will find out that yes, some people are denied communion in the Catholic church.

So in the mass you went to after your kids' VBS experience, they just went ahead and had the eucharist without explaining it to anybody, and everybody who wanted to just went up to the altar?

Nope and nope. But my DH is a former, life-long Catholic, and he is the one from whom I heard that about confession and communion. To my own credit, I did add IIRC in case I remembered it wrong.

This was my first experience with it and like I have stated, my gf had gone for many years before. The weeks they chose that year was not the same as others and it seemed to be not good weeks.

Interesting since I have attended other churches and never once did I hear them mention it.
Would you have any links to this as I would love to learn more about that and where this happens?
