If you work, do you find that summer's are the worst?

I get it -- I didn't mean to over analyze this - all I meant was I had literally never heard the terms "open table' or "closed table'

Huh? Nobody but coco, edg, and crusadergal seemed to be surprised that the Catholic Church has specific requirements to participate in communion. Where did you read in this thread that anyone was insulted by Catholic Eucharistic practices? Could you point those posts out?

The non-Catholics responders did seem to be more aware of canon law than the practicing Catholics, with you being the knowledgeable exception to that, of course.

That's really cute! Once the pastor was giving an excruciatingly boring and LONG sermon (something about the symbolism of crape myrtles) in a monotone voice (Beuler? Beuler?). Everyone was struggling to stay awake. A little girl around 4 years old was hanging over the side of a pew and loudly groaned "Yeah, yeah, yeah..." I think everyone smiled and perked up a bit. :-)

Let me see if I have this straight. You are saying that a child who lives in an unsafe neighborhood and stays in his house all day during the summer is doing it because of problems in his behavior? And not his unsafe neighborhood? Really?
