I have no desire to debate your personal faith, but the Vatican has weighed in on who is eligible to receive communion in the Catholic Church. I get that at the grass roots level, you feel entirely comfortable within your church, but I, personally, could not ignore the proclamations of the Vatican and Arch Diocese Church hierarchy read periodically from my parish pulpit.
Perhaps, I envy you your reconciliation with the church.
I think quite a bit depends on the Diocese and the local Parish Priest. There are some variations.
For example, in our local Diocese, they did not allow altar girls until 2006. I don't know if the local Church has allowed them yet (it is one of the more conservative Churches in the Diocese). So many of my friends trek in DC, because the DC Diocese allowed them when their girls were "of age".
A friend told me that she, in all innocence, destroyed the family toaster after learning about volcanoes in school. She learned that lava was rock that had been heated to melting. So she filled the toaster with rocks and pressed the toast lever in an attempt to make lava at home.
I didn't read it as nasty. Just an expression of her personality. It takes a very special person to be a kindergarten teacher. Not everyone can do it IME and IMO. I would be just awful at it.
More can be sahps, but not all. For me, it took a really really long time to adjust to being a sahp. It did not come naturally at all.

In all the years I've been at my church I don't remember one vatican proclamation being read from the pulpit but maybe I wasn't paying attention.
I'm not sure those links are something to smile about, but you're welcome as

Isn't that enough?

I agree, I find it quite interesting as well, but I do make sure that I do my best to respect the differences as well.

....that is a good way to phrase the situation, it is an honor system.
