Does working status have anything to do with supervision of children during the summer?

Working at the movies is one option-that I am 100% positive about :) I am sure there are more.

Can they work all day there or get themselves to the movie theatre?

Kids can work at 14 year as well....but the jobs are limited in location.

Perhaps the term for me is long term planner? But it's not always by choice, I look at blocks of time and have to plan ahead...for example my kids are already signed up for fall sports (sign up was a month ago actually), ds1 has already signed up for his classes in the fall (sign up was 2 months ago) and we have things on our calendar all the way out to December already, lol. But when it comes to letting my children stay at home alone, I planned it long term, starting off small and growing from there, that's just my nature."

Life happens though so there is only so much I can plan-shrug.

Oh, for some reason I thought your oldest was the same age as mine, 11 and going into 6th grade which is middle school for some. I apologize, I must have you mixed up with someone else."

No, she will be 11 this year and going into middle school but she can go to camp until the end of 8th grade (going into 9th).

Not sure of the exact hours a 14 yr. old can work but I could get them there either by dropping off in the morning, dropping off at lunch or after work. They are very flexible with their days and times at the theater.

OK, I'm sure this is probably very obvious, but I'm asking anyway.
