Here's an article where 5 women explain why they chose not to have any children. http://shine.yahoo.com/parenting/5-women-explain-why-chose-not-kids-165300500.html
Did you ever think about not having children? Like some of the women, would you have had more time to enjoy your husband? Would you be divorced?
Basically, why did you have children instead of not having children?
If you don't have time for the whole article, some of the reasons included 1.) having a fulfilling life already, 2.) growing up with dysfunctional parents or other close relatives/friends who were miserable because they had kids, 3.) getting to sleep in late, travel the world, not spend the money on kids, 4.) a biggie ~ not feeling the maternal impulse.
Would you life be as happy/fun/fulfilled if you hadn't had children?

Perhaps I misunderstood you when you wrote that you would always choose socializing over reading.Perhaps you really meant that you would sometimes choose socializing and sometimes reading but you didn't phrase it that way for fear of sounding exactly like me, and then how could you possibly go on to criticize my social life! I see now.
BINGO but yes, if there was a choice of an invitation to a party, yes I would pick the party over a book, no question. You can always read a book, you can't always be with people.
Why are you sorry that you post fun fluff questions? I think most people enjoy them, at least the ones that don't turn into traps to use to criticize others' answers.
And then some use them against others to make them look dumb. Gotcha.
Why post them when there's always someone behind you posting them? J/K, You know what I mean.
Yep, I know EXACTLY what you mean :)
I don't think fluff questions like " ketchup or mustard" make you look dumb, Morty. But if you think they do, why do you ask them?
Oh my.....again, didn't your dh come home today? You are on this board instead of with him after 3 weeks? You have SOOOOOOME will power. lol.
Poor guy was up 23 hours yesterday coming home, so he went to bed right after supper. Jet lag.
After not seeing his wife for 3 weeks? Sorry to hear that
Yeah, it's that darn human biology thing again. We're kind of wired to sleep at least six out of every 24 hours. Then there's the jet lag issue. We're usually off-schedule for two-three days after a trans-Atlantic flight. And I haven't noticed it getting any easier as we get older, either.
No sleep on the plane?
