I generally choose not to NIP because Samantha gets distracted, I don't really want anyone to see my belly flab, and there is often nowhere to sit. It has nothing to do with being embarrassed about nursing. I'm sure other mothers have lots of different reasons why they choose to or not to NIP.
You're "sure?" How are you sure? Experience? Statistics?

You can hate me, but do it because you know me, not because I’m a member of a group. Anyways, people aren’t grapes --- you can’t weigh them in a bunch, but I guess it’s easier than dealing with people as individuals. There, I’ve solved the riddle of prejudice: it saves time.
Nah. But like I have said, if that's what makes you feel better, go for it.

I was clear before. You were the one who was confused. But thanks anyway! LOL

After Samantha nurses, she is completely contented. It's obvious. She has no tension in her body, and I can tell from the expression on her face that she feels comforted and secure.

I would imagine they need to be reassured that their Mommy and Daddy love them, that they don't need to be afraid of all of the crazy new things they see and hear, etc.
I realize that the choice to breastfeed a school aged child is a want and i want to know why it is needed. Why want to nurse a eight year old why is it necessary and what does it do to benifit their well being or the mothers? I would love to see another view other than b/c i want to or they want to. There are many things my kids want to do but that does not imply they get to just b/c they want to.
<<I would love to see another view other than b/c i want to or they want to.>>
And I would love to see another reason that it shouldn't be done other than "it's my opinion." ;-D

Heehee. Well let me rephrase myself. You said you were done posting to me, which indicated clearly that you conceded the debate. However you have continued to post to me so that would indicate that you havent conceded.

No I wasn't confused. Yes, you were clear, clearly mistaken.
Possibly warm, and full? How do we really know how they feel since we arent them and they cant speak? How does nursing an infant make them feel secure?
<<>>
But do you really think they get that from nursing, or just in a general sense of mom and dad holding them, and caring for them?

you didn't answer why it had to be necessary in order to do it.>.
Sure i have numeorus times, If there is no necessary reason for nursiong a school aged child then there is no necessary reason not to wean them.
