"Tell me why i would need evidence about my personal views on allowing a eight year old to suck your breast..."
You wouldn't need evidence to have a personal view about the desirability or non-desirablity of allowing a school-aged child to nurse. It could be based on some personal, entirely visceral, "ick factor." There are things that I think are icky, too. For instance, a local magazine just ran a feature on a new salon for children in our area and posted a bunch of pictures of elementary age girls tarted up with makeup and hairdos that made me cringe. Personal reaction -- I don't like to see little girls with makeup and hairdos that to me, seem more age-appropriate for a girl going to her senior prom. Personal opinion.
However, when you are saying things like you would support a law making it illegal for eight year olds to nurse, people on the board are going to want to know why. On what basis would that law be enacted? Collective "ick factor?" Do we really live in a country where we make things illegal just because a group of people consider a harmless practice icky? Of course not. When we pass a law against something, it's because the practice is harmful or potentially harmful enough to restrict personal choice and personal freedom.
My guess, although it's only a guess since you really haven't offered any information about the basis of your opinion that school age nursing constitutes abuse, is that it's based on some assumption that some kind of sexual abuse is going on. And it's that assumption that I see as faulty reasoning.
Expecting a response had nothing to do with my opinion you just assumed, if it did i would have directed the word. Since i told you i do not expect anything from this board, i do not come here with any expectations, for instance for you to back your views. I come her to offer my views if one responds or not is irrelvant.
BTW Iam also not directing others Iam directing opinions, you should try it.
Yeah i know but please explain to me, when you are the one who has the problem as you have admitted that it is my problem? Since i do not have a problem with my views, you do as you claimed.
When did you ever provide the backup others here have asked for? I am sure I could find links that demonstrate learning can happen without the use of ps2 or tv. Otherwise all schools would have that as part of the curriculum. It's really just common sense.
I said there was no reason to nothing about a "need" and i can respond however i choose to what ever i would like...could you provide some back up to your views...<>

Actually my questions were about having one's own opinion and making one's own decisions.
PumpkinAngel
If there was no need to, then there shouldn't have been a response.
PumpkinAngel
No I asked a question, if you didn't want to answer the question as it was written, then why even answer it?

No, thank you.
PumpkinAngel
Why?
