Perhaps with the aid of modern technology. Perhaps along the lines of an optical aid, said to have been invented by Galileo, but enhanced with special abilities one might almost refer to as magical? In this case, I am almost ready to concede that this special piece of modern technology is NECESSARY to find the items in question.

Technology for Basic Education: A Luxury or a Necessity? Wadi D. Haddad, Editor
If we perceive basic education only in terms of basic literacy, numeracy and rudimentary life skills, then technology is a luxury. However, basic education for all in a modern world entails more than the conventional recipe. The new economic and societal challenges force us to think of basic education as a learning activity, anytime, anywhere, and for everyone. To achieve that, technology is a necessity.
This is not in relation to your diatribe but i cannot find the post where you said i have not told why i think it is abusive to nurse a eight year old.
Lois, I have told you this dozens of times, i would think it is a no brainer, b/c imo it is harmful to the child to the childs well being.
Because necessary, need, and necessity are not mentioned in either of these links.
If you are talking about this link: http://www.educationworld.com/a_tech/tech/tech005.shtml It quotes someone saying: "Technology does not necessarily improve education. It could become a valuable education tool, but only if we use it to capitalize on our new understanding of how the human mind works." Which is what I've been arguing all along.
I know that in your opinion a school aged child nursing is harmful to that child's well-being. And you are certainly entitled to that opinion. I haven't seen anything to show that it actually IS harmful, though. And until I am persuaded that there is some actual harm involved, my opinion will continue to be that it is a matter of choice for the families involved.
I already told you what I think of everytime I see that phrase "no brainer."
