Well from what I have seen here is that:

1. People have given the reasons why they have the opinions they do and others just dont like it.
2. Have read the reasons why other people do the things they do and still have the same opinion. But does wonder why it is such a big deal.
3. Can most certainly know what an opinion about oneself and others is.

In our case those went hand and hand. So I did both.

Or did you nurse on a schedule (i.e. watching the clock/feeding baby at fairly regular intervals)?>>

"In our case those went hand and hand. So I did both."

Finally! Not sure why admitting that you nursed on demand was so difficult for you. Perhaps it's because your previous statements contradict your current acknowledgement (see below).

"Wearing them, sleeping with them, nursing on demand, etc. Not for me in any way shape or form."

Also, since you have admitted to nursing on a schedule as well could answer the following question?

Weren't you concerned that scheduled nursing might teach and/or set the stage for your children to learn to eat even when they aren't really hungry?

You have repeatedly stated your concern wrt your children associating the breast with food, and not comfort. Surely eating, not due hunger, would concern you as well. If I'm not mistaken, a number of issues such as obesity and various eating disorders could potentially stem from eating, not due to hunger. IOW, eating simply to eat, eating simply because food is offered, eating out of boredom, etc. could all be potential threats to developing good healthy eating habits.

With that said, again weren't you concerned that scheduled nursing might teach and/or set the stage for your children to learn to eat even when they aren't really hungry?

<<>>

"Children adapt. It is all about not giving them the option. However to each his own."

All about not giving them the option huh?

Could you please explain how it is that you were able to teach your children to override their natural, biological, instinctual needs wrt sucking? As well as their natural, biological, instinctual association of the breast with comfort btw? In all honesty, I have never heard of a parent being able to do such things.

You must have some serious magical powers at your disposal. Supernatural even!

Exactly, then why ask the question, that's what I am talking about....<<So you would be ok with a mother that had let her milk dry up decided to let her 8 yr old child suck on her breast? >> as you did in post 3066.
