Oh please, lol . You must have a difficult time reading. If you actually know how to conduct a search do it and back up your position.

It has been proven, oxytocin is not only to bring on contractions as you claim it is known as the cuddle chemical or hormone?

Do you actually know how to back up what you claim?

Nowhere does it say nursing a child at 8 is necessary.

"When the child gets older and the bm/formula question is no longer an issue because the child is getting his main nutrition from a healthy diet, then the nursing mother is doing so for other reasons and none include nutrition. Comfort becomes a main purpose and no longer an "added bonus." At that point, bf'ing is out-of-the-norm and weaning is preferred."

Prove it :)

Why don't you just answer the question. It's really very simple.

Did you want your children to benefit from the comfort/security/reassurance aspects of bfing?

"Actually, no one has remotely proven that it's detrimental."

Too true!

"Just because something is out-of-the-norm doesn't mean it's wrong."

"Just because something appears unnecessary doesn't mean it is. There is no real reason to wean at 1, or 2. Some would claim that erring on the side of caution would be allowing the child to self-wean. ;-)"

Yes, yes, and yes!!!
