Okay i see where your comming from and i agree with you, i was never nursed as a child i was bottle feed and i sucked my thumb for too long. lol.

I have no porblem with children using their thumb for security and comfort. I would hope for the sake of the child by elementary they are starting to kick the habit.

It is obvious what your stance is. The thing is, you haven't backed that up with anything.

You can hate me, but do it because you know me, not because I’m a member of a group. Anyways, people aren’t grapes --- you can’t weigh them in a bunch, but I guess it’s easier than dealing with people as individuals. There, I’ve solved the riddle of prejudice: it saves time.

"I have no idea if my children were comforted, and reassured while nursing."

No idea huh?

So the comfort/reassurance aspects of bfing/nursing is news to you?

"Well now that you have changed what you said, maybe they were comforted by nursing."

I haven't changed what I said. You're just seemingly unaware of the comfort/reassurance aspects of bfing/nursing.

"You statement before was about BF to comfort a child."

No. That is entirely incorrect.

Bfing specifically to comfort a child, no. A child being comforted as a built in benefit of bfing, yes.

"I didn't do that."

Did you specifically bf to comfort your children, no. Were your children comforted as a built in benefit of bfing, most likely the answer is yes.

That is not what i asked her to back up. I asked her to back up her entire statement. That oxytocin is not the cuddle hormone.

It is opinion, relax! I ahve made it very clear ppl can do what they want this is strickly OPINION . BF a school aged child is not a need it is a want. IMO!

I now a few gals who breastfeed until beyond 5 and they are dear friiends of mine. Iam not judging choice...iam sharing my views my opinions on my choice.

Could you tell me why a eight year old would need to nurse.

Why does it have to be necessary in order to do it?
