I was just thinking...I have known hundreds of women who have nursed their children past the age of two....only one who was still nursing when the child was five, and that only a few months into the sixth year. A lot of those kids are now teens. All of them that I am still in contact with (many are in my church community) are completely comfortable with the topic/idea of nursing. They see it as part of the life cycle. And it's funny, in my son's high school youth group they are talking about dating and mating, and even the high school boys, when they were making lists of what they wanted in a mate, mentioned that their future wives had to be good Moms, and one boy came right out and said that he would not be attracted to a woman who was put off by breastfeeding, that he wants his kids breastfed and not one boy disagreed there and a few chimed in that they did, too. The youth group leader, who was only 26 and newly married himself, looked a bit surprised and struggled a bit with how to write that on the board.

Um, I have offered links to back my views. The link that you continue to post i alrady replied to. Iam not debating if it is natural and or normal, Iam curious how it is benificial or necessary or what it promotes in the well being of the child.

tyoical, why would my personal views need to be supported, Iam sure i can find something on line that states giving a child everything they want creates a spoiled brat.

Im not going to look it up, if you do not believe me you look it up.

I do not find the need to look up common sense in parentning.

I stated that he didn't talk about it with his friends, I never stated that they haven't seen it.

There are many things that are not necessary or beneficial for proper nutrition growth, development or security within school aged children......unless you are saying that everything you do, everything the children do or have must be necessary, beneficial for proper nutrition growth, development and security?

I haven't seen any medical references to that fact either.

"It is obvious what your stance is. The thing is, you haven't backed that up with anything."
