i've completed some surveys online and the way they wean their participants out always strikes me as fascinating.

We're about to go into a meeting where huge across-the-board salary reductions are going to be announced.

My youngest is potty training, and as I clean up the poo that he just deposited on my living room floor, I'm struck with the similarities between taking care of a small child and taking care of a puppy.

I got a survey last night from Tivo to ask us about how we feel about commercials. One section was a "which do you prefer" with two options. I was so irritated by the end of it. It sounds like they want to add more advertising to the service. One of the two options for "which do you prefer" was: 1) More commercials with the ability to FFWD. 2)No ability to FFWD.

Um....neither. I pay (too much...there are less expensive DVRs and options now) for this service. IMO, there should be less ads.

Interesting about "houseman." I don't think I've ever heard that word before.

I wouldn't think they're weaning participants out, they're gathering demographic data.

but I could be wrong.

At least toddlers grow up; dogs never do.
