1. We NEED two incomes to survive... Yeah Right! I honestly believe that out of the people that say this 90% would be just fine if they would cut their lifestyle, move to a cheaper area and sacrifice. I am not buying it one bit when people say this.

2. I put my kid in Daycare for the socialization.. Good grief, how much socialization does a 10 month old need?? Besides there are better ways to much socialize young children.

3. I am a better mom if I work outside the home.. UGHH! How in the world do you think you are a better mom by handing your kid off to Grandma or someone else to raise while you go work?? Unless you are going to beat them or verbally abuse them, I always think at home with mom is where kids thrive the most..

THere are others I can't stand, but these are my top 3. Have at it..

I guess you know everyone's situation in life. There are women here on this board and elsewhere that need to work to pay the bills (yes, some of us do not have much extras that are making us work) and many that work because they want to. No harm is going into our children for putting them in daycare or sitters as if you go into a kindergarten class, you try and pick which kids have or had SAHP's or WOHP's. I doubt you would be able to do it.

Sigh. I cant even believe I am responding to this flame bait......

1. Many families DO need 2 incomes to survive. Its a fact in todays economy. And sometimes the second income also provides a very important thing-insurance. Surely you dont think that should be *sacrificed* too?

2. I dont think a 10mo needs socialization in dc either. But I dont think there is anything harmful in having a 10mo in daycare. Its just a neutral issue, imo. And once a child hits about age 2, they do *need* and benefit from socialization outside of their immediate family.

3. There are many women out there who would be completely frustrated and depressed if they were forced to sah. Thank goodness we live in a society in which we have the freedom to make that choice. And personally, I couldnt think of anything better than a grandparent being involved in caring for their grandchild. My dad is my first call when I need a sitter, and the wonderful, indepth relationship he has developed with my children is beyond anything I could have imagined.

And I have a question? What about dad? Is he not raising his children since he woh? Why is the focus always on mom?

But how can you possibly do that? You are HARMING your child forever-lololol!!!!!!!! I have worked since both of my kids were 3 months old. While I don't LOVE my job, it is a job that pays our bills and right now it is good for me as it is close to home and I get lots of time off for the kids.
