Top 3 Excuses I Can't Stand from WOHMs..

1. We NEED two incomes to survive... Yeah Right! I honestly believe that out of the people that say this 90% would be just fine if they would cut their lifestyle, move to a cheaper area and sacrifice. I am not buying it one bit when people say this.

2. I put my kid in Daycare for the socialization.. Good grief, how much socialization does a 10 month old need?? Besides there are better ways to much socialize young children.

3. I am a better mom if I work outside the home.. UGHH! How in the world do you think you are a better mom by handing your kid off to Grandma or someone else to raise while you go work?? Unless you are going to beat them or verbally abuse them, I always think at home with mom is where kids thrive the most..

THere are others I can't stand, but these are my top 3. Have at it..

Well, I see a couple of potential issues for the 3yo wrt privacy and personal space, but of course YMMV. IME there is indeed a place for "it's family", and I don't always close the door when I'm in the bathroom I share with my dh. But if someone's in the first floor powder room, I like to see them close the door. Why? Just because...

Again, I understand fully about the 60-pounder with a diaper change. Although if it were I, I'd probably bring along some sort of washable underlayment and do it on the floor, since I don't like the idea of diaper changes on upholstery. But I'm thinking of the 3yo.

Maybe your sister and you are okay with it, but does that mean there's nothing there to debate? I don't think it's at all a question of shame or embarrassment.

Again, can you provide a link to whomever stated that in this thread?

slightly off topic here but Last night liza and i went for an after dinner swim at our condo pool and had the whole thing to ourselves...we floated lazily and watched the sky dim and dusk settle and the lights come on and after our swim we sat poolide drying off and talking about everything from getting along with freidns to 'what pimples are' and I thought "life doesn't get any better than this"

Yes. We. Did.

Which of course doesn't "close" a pool as we both know through experience.
