Top 3 Excuses I Can't Stand from WOHMs..

1. We NEED two incomes to survive... Yeah Right! I honestly believe that out of the people that say this 90% would be just fine if they would cut their lifestyle, move to a cheaper area and sacrifice. I am not buying it one bit when people say this.

2. I put my kid in Daycare for the socialization.. Good grief, how much socialization does a 10 month old need?? Besides there are better ways to much socialize young children.

3. I am a better mom if I work outside the home.. UGHH! How in the world do you think you are a better mom by handing your kid off to Grandma or someone else to raise while you go work?? Unless you are going to beat them or verbally abuse them, I always think at home with mom is where kids thrive the most..

THere are others I can't stand, but these are my top 3. Have at it..

Because hanging around a pool doesn't equal being involved in camps and/or activities since you have stated incorrectly that my kids "have to" do these versus just hanging out around the pool.

um .no....I wasn't joking...I guess TECHNICALLY It's against the rules but our pool at our condo isn't monitored in any way...there are no posted hours..all condo residents have pool keys that you have to use to get in AND out of the fenced in area.... so we go whenever we want to be it 6 am or 9pm...I've only brought wine one or two times when Kelly and I took Liza for a quick evening swim but weren't swimming with her...when we go for the day we pack lunch, snacks, waters, and card games and books for our 'shade time'...it's great and I cna't believe how little use the pool gets..we often have the whole thing to ourselves!

well,i'm not with you there. i enjoy a nice glass of chardonay, too but it isn't pool side supervising my kids, that's for sure..our pool is a pretty nice one and there's never alot of traffic there, either. i think houston summers get so brutal that you either stay indoors with a/c or you have your own pool and bake there all day and night. but i'll take the hoa pool over the maintenance, liability of my own any day, thankyouverymuch.

please -- it was 1/2 of a paper cup -- I wasn't exactly snockered. and I don't have any maintenance to do on our condo's pool either - I pay my condo fee and it's all nicely taken care of... ;-)

I think the maintenance and liability issues, which really aren't even an issue ime, more than make up for being able to use

PS. plus in NH there are only two seasons: winter and the Fourth of july -- if it's a warm summer night you are contractually obligated to go swimming...;-)
